We can migrate product variants to WooCommerce together with their parent products and attributes, such as size, color, or material. Each migrated variant will appear as a separate variation under the corresponding Variable product.
The supported variant data typically includes:
- Name
- SKU
- Weight
- Quantity
- Manage Stock setting
- Image
- Price
- Special Price
WooCommerce creates a separate variation for every combination of attribute values. For example, 10 sizes combined with 10 colors will create 100 variations. If a product has more than 1,000 possible combinations, we will migrate the main product but skip its related variants and options.
For products exceeding this limit, we can migrate their choices as product options through the paid WooCommerce Product Add-Ons extension. You will need to install and activate this extension on your Target Store before migration.
Please note that this alternative creates selectable product options, not separate variations in your WooCommerce admin. These options will therefore not retain individual variation details such as SKU, stock, price, or image.
If your products have more than 1,000 combinations or use a complex option structure, please contact us so we can review your data and recommend a suitable solution through our Migration Customization Service.
