The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA). It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU and EEA areas. The GDPR aims primarily to give control to citizens and residents over their personal data and to simplify the regulatory environment for international business by unifying the regulation within the EU.

Because LitExtension deals with the personal data of EU citizens, the proper treatment of personal data of all clients, regardless of their nationality, is our company’s primary goal. We have taken a set of measures to get compliant with EU data protection requirements and we have also made the treatment of sensitive data even more transparent.

LitExtension is a trading brand of LitGroup Joint Stock Company (“LitGroup”), a company registered in Vietnam. LitGroup is the Data Controller responsible for personal data collected through LitExtension. LitGroup also operates other brands, including:

• LitOS: Store Development Services.
• LitCommerce: Multichannel Selling Solutions.
• BulkFlow: Import/Export Data Services.

These brands are not separate legal entities. They are operated by the same company, LitGroup, and may share internal systems used to support customer enquiries.

LitExtension guarantees that every client or website visitor has the right to:

• Inquire why and at what steps of cooperation the personal data is collected.
• Agree or disagree on providing personal info during the very first interaction with the website/service.
• Know what kind of information is collected by LitExtension and how it will be processed.
• Request correction, amendment or extraction of their personal data.
• Ask to specify the ways the data provided is secured by LitExtension.
• Opt out, at any time, of receiving information about related services from other LitGroup brands.

LitExtension is a GDPR-friendly company and has implemented all the necessary changes to the ways customers’ information is collected. Have trust to hand over your sensitive data in us and we’ll take all the necessary measures to guarantee its security and transparency. Here is why we collect customers personal information:

• To perform accurate data migration process.
• To send the important information about your migration, including the results of data migration, price estimation and other significant migration-related notifications.
• With your consent, or where you have not opted out, to inform you about related services offered by other LitGroup brands that we believe may be relevant to your migration project. This is optional, separate from your migration service, and explained further under “Legal basis” and “Your choices” below.

For the purposes above, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR:

• Performance of a contract / your request (Art. 6(1)(b)) — for carrying out the migration you requested and sending you related migration notifications.
• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — to inform you, as a customer already engaging with LitGroup for a migration, about related services offered by other LitGroup brands that may be useful to your project. Before relying on this basis, we assess whether this interest is outweighed by your rights and expectations, and we limit this outreach to what is directly relevant to the service you enquired about. You may object to this processing at any time — see “Your choices” below.

You can choose whether to receive information about related services from other LitGroup brands at any time:

• At the point of first contact (e.g. live chat, contact form), you will be asked whether you’re open to hearing about related services from LitGroup brands.
• At any time afterward, you may opt out by replying “No thanks” to any such message, or by contacting us.
• Opting out does not affect your migration service with LitExtension in any way.

We’ll keep the record of the personal information you have provided for 30 days since the last interaction with the automated platform migration service. When the period expires, your personal information gets deleted and the process is irreversible.

For a website visitors

When you visit LitExtension website, our server records the information sent from your browser:

• Web request (e.g. date, time, etc.)
• IP address

The data we receive at this stage is used to monitor and analyze website visitor flow in Google Analytics.

For a customer performing data migration

Depending on the type of cart that a customer performs data migration, LitExtension might request the following information:

• Source and Target Stores URLs
• Type of Source and Target Shopping Cart Platform
• FTP/Cpanel access (required for particular platforms only)
• Admin account (required for particular platforms only)

At every step, LitExtension guarantees data protection against unauthorized access, unauthorized alteration, and the disclosure of personal information.
