Yes, LitExtension can migrate customer passwords to WooCommerce from supported open-source source platforms; hosted platforms are not supported. This allows customers to log in to your new store with their existing passwords without resetting them.
Depending on your source platform, you may need to install our free Customer Password Migration Plugin on the Target Store:
- Download the plugin version for WordPress (WooCommerce).
- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New Plugin.
- Click Upload Plugin, select the downloaded ZIP file, and click Install Now.
- Once installed, click Activate Plugin.
Please install the plugin only on your Target Store and keep it activated until all migrated customers have logged in at least once. You can then deactivate or remove it.
Note: Password migration depends on the source platform’s encryption method and requires the store to use its default password settings. If your store has custom password modifications, please contact us so we can check compatibility before migration.
