This is usually related to PrestaShop’s built-in character limits on product descriptions. By default, PrestaShop caps short descriptions at 400 characters and full descriptions at 800 characters. If your original product descriptions exceed these limits, PrestaShop typically truncates them during the migration, which can make it look like your full description didn’t transfer completely.
To migrate the complete, untruncated text, you’ll need to customize your PrestaShop installation to extend these character limits first. This usually requires a code-level adjustment, so we’d recommend checking with a PrestaShop developer or PrestaShop’s own support team for guidance. Once you extend your description limits, you can run a re-migration to transfer the full descriptions accurately.
Keep in mind that category meta descriptions are also capped at 800 characters on PrestaShop, so the same limitation applies there as well.
