Data Security Policy

The purpose of this document is to define the LitExtension Data Security Policy.

Data is considered as a primary asset and must be protected in a manner commensurate to its value. Data security is necessary in today’s environment because data processing represents a concentration on valuable assets in the form of information, equipment, and personnel. The main objective of this policy is to ensure that data is protected in all of its forms, on all media, and during all phases of its life cycle.

All migration jobs will be carried out on Linode servers located in the USA, Euro, Australia, Singapore. Linode is a cloud hosting company offering customers on-demand access to Linux virtual servers on high speed internet connections. Linode has taken measurement to protect their data centers and facilities, including:

• 24/7 surveillance to monitor access
• Only authorized staff can access control terminals via a transponder key
• Network firewalls
• DDoS preventions

The exchanged data is protected by HTTPS secure protocol and 128-bit SSL encryption by using COMODO CA . We do not store your data on our servers, data will go directly from your Source Store to Target Store with the highest level of security.

Only authorized LitExtension engineers can access the source code, handle custom migration requests and work on support cases on demand of customers. Each of them has their own credentials and can reach certain areas of software only from specific IPs.

Additionally, when accessing customer data, we use a VPN to ensure optimal control and security over customer information and data.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a global data protection law passed by the European Union that shifts the ownership of customer data from the organizations that use it to the individual customer. LitExtension is compliant with GDPR regulations.

We don’t keep your credentials or imported records after the migration is complete. We guarantee that your data isn’t disclosed or used for any other purposes rather than data migration. Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) will be signed between customer and LitExtension before the order is made.
