Shift4Shop does not provide a single API key directly from your account. Instead, you need to authorize an application and receive an API token. Here are the steps to follow:
Step 1: Log in to your Shift4Shop store’s admin dashboard.
Step 2: In the left-hand menu, go to Modules.
Step 3: Use the search bar at the top of the page to find REST API and open it settings.
Step 4: Click Add, enter the Public Key provided by your app or integration service, and select Save/Authorize.
Step 6: Copy the generated API token and paste it into the corresponding field in your LitExtension migration setup.
If you’ve transferred your domain to Shift4Shop, use that transferred domain URL. If not, use the primary domain listed in this section.
