Shopify to PrestaShop Migration
Move Shopify products, categories, customers, historical orders, coupons, app-held reviews, CMS pages, and supported translations to PrestaShop with LitExtension’s All-in-One Migration Service.
Our experts assess source access and target requirements, map supported records, configure applicable options, run the Free Demo and Full Migration, and validate results. Your Personal Assistant coordinates requirements, feedback, approvals, remaining updates, and handover.
Your Shopify store can continue selling during the transfer. Review sample PrestaShop records before approving Full Migration, then validate the completed data and prepare the target storefront for launch.
How Shopify to PrestaShop Migration Works
Our experts assess your Shopify data and PrestaShop setup, configure the transfer, and run a Free Demo. After you approve the samples, they perform Full Migration and validate the agreed records.
Our specialists assess Shopify catalog, customer, order, coupon, review-app, page, and translation records. Your Personal Assistant coordinates requirements, access, target preparation, and the migration plan.
Our experts map agreed records, configure applicable options, and run a Free Demo. Review variations, images, category organization, customers, historical orders, discounts, reviews, and pages before approving Full Migration.
Our experts run and monitor Full Migration, compare agreed records, and investigate discrepancies. Your Personal Assistant coordinates remaining updates, your completed-data review, and handover.
Plan Your Shopify to PrestaShop Migration
Define the catalog, customers, historical orders, coupons, app-held reviews, CMS pages, and translations your business needs in PrestaShop. Keep source examples for checking the results, including variation products, customer records, orders with different statuses, coupon restrictions, and information pages.
This page uses LitExtension’s All-in-One Migration Service. Our experts assess access, map records, configure applicable options, run the Free Demo and Full Migration, and validate agreed results. Your Personal Assistant coordinates requirements, feedback, approvals, remaining data work, and handover.
Compare AIO with Manual Imports
| Method | Suitable task | Preparation |
|---|---|---|
| Manual CSV imports | Supported entities with correctly formatted files. | Export files, map columns, inspect target records, and plan relationships separately. |
| Separate import tools | A defined data group your team can prepare. | Verify fields, duplicates, relationships, and target behavior. |
| LitExtension All-in-One Migration | The supported Shopify records listed on this page. | Provide requirements and access, review the Demo, and approve completed records while experts manage the transfer. |
Shopify product exports and order exports are separate files. PrestaShop’s native importer presents entity-specific fields and mapping; a Shopify CSV is not automatically ready for every PrestaShop entity. AIO includes assessment and coordinated mapping rather than leaving the full import workflow to your team.
1. Agree on Scope and Access
Describe your Shopify setup, source review apps, custom product fields, subscriptions, loyalty records, target store, and launch requirements. Our experts assess available records and agree on selected entities, mappings, and acceptance checks before transfer.
Provide the access requested for Shopify, relevant source apps, and PrestaShop. Keep it available through the Demo, Full Migration, and validation. App-held records may need separate access or files; the presence of a Shopify app does not establish that its complete data or behavior can move.
Keep original exports and important assets as backups. Record snapshot times for tracking subsequent changes. Shopify’s product-export documentation explains that image files are not embedded in the CSV and source images need to remain accessible during file-based imports. Coordinate source availability with our team before closing the store or deleting products.
2. Prepare PrestaShop and Existing Records
Prepare the target store and identify records that must remain. Save a PrestaShop database and file backup before approving Clear Target Data. Agree on selected entities to clean and on handling Demo records before Full Migration.
Plan the theme, hosting, modules, payments, carriers, taxes, notifications, and checkout separately. Shopify themes, app code, checkout customizations, payment credentials, and subscription logic are not converted into PrestaShop equivalents by transferring listed data.
If the target uses multistore, define the intended shop and review associations and module context before launch. The supported translations and categories do not establish transfer of every Shopify Markets configuration or target shop-assignment rule.
3. Map Products, Variants, and Categories
Products include names, SKUs, short/full descriptions, status, regular/special prices, quantities, stock-management settings, meta titles/descriptions, weight, dimensions, product tags, variants, thumbnail images, and additional images.
Variants remains a parent group without promises for every detailed variation subfield. Compare representative selections, prices, inventory, and cart behavior in the Demo. Standalone Shopify metafields are not assumed to become PrestaShop Attributes, and Vendor is not assumed equivalent to Manufacturer.
Category data includes names, descriptions, images, and meta titles/descriptions. Category sort order and original product/category URL keys are outside the listed scope. Collection conditions and Shopify automated-collection behavior are not recreated as target category rules; review product organization and prepare navigation separately.
4. Map Customers and Historical Orders
Customer profiles include first names, last names, emails, and creation dates. The source generic Address field is not assumed equivalent to target Billing Address. Customer passwords, usernames, status, display names, groups, and email-marketing status are outside this shared scope.
Prepare PrestaShop account access and password setup or recovery communications before launch. Test the planned customer journey rather than expecting Shopify credentials or email-code login behavior to carry across platforms. Billing and shipping addresses on historical orders are separate supported fields.
Orders include IDs, dates, statuses, items, subtotal, discount, tax, shipping price, total price, comments, customer names/emails, and billing/shipping addresses. Order Items and addresses remain parent groups. Tags, tracking number/URL fields, transactions, and invoices are outside this scope.
Our experts configure Preserve Order IDs and check original references with you. Compare order totals and relationships against historical source records; Shopify’s order-export documentation notes that exported order data reflects the time of purchase rather than current product values.
5. Map Coupons, Reviews, Content, and Translations
Coupons include titles, descriptions, codes, coupon dates, customer groups, per-coupon/per-customer limits, amounts/percentages, status, and start/end dates. Coupon creation dates are not included. Test target eligibility and calculations separately, particularly where apps created custom discount behavior.
Reviews include creation dates, status, ratings, reviewer names/emails, and comments. Review titles and product-code/name fields are not shared target fields. Our team assesses access to source app records and coordinates target display requirements; Shopify review-app functionality does not migrate as a PrestaShop module.
CMS pages include titles, creation dates, URLs, content, and thumbnails. Authors, separate handles, descriptions, categories, and page status are outside this shared scope. Review transferred text, internal links, and thumbnail presentation; page records do not recreate the Shopify page template.
Multiple Languages covers product, category, and CMS-page names/descriptions. Translated attributes and blogs are not included. Prepare target languages and inspect representative translations; Shopify Markets settings, regional pricing, and domain behavior need separate planning.
6. Configure Applicable Additional Options
All applicable Additional Options are included for free with AIO. Our experts configure 301 redirects, original order references, HTML cleanup for product/category names, approved target cleanup, and description images.
Description Images covers embedded images in product and category descriptions. Review these separately from catalog images and CMS thumbnails; the option does not establish separate CMS-body embedded-image coverage or blog migration. Shopify Smart Collections does not apply to the PrestaShop target.
Approve target cleanup after saving a backup. Test important redirect destinations; a redirect operation is separate from transferring an original URL key. Unchanged search rankings are not guaranteed.
7. Review the Demo and Complete Migration
Our experts run a Free Demo and coordinate your review. Compare product text, variations, prices, quantities, images, metadata, category organization, customer records, orders, discounts, reviews, page content, and translations with Shopify.
Counts alone do not establish correctness. Provide source and target examples for unexpected values, formatting, images, or relationships. Resolve discrepancies and agree on remaining storefront work before approving Full Migration.
Our team runs and monitors the full transfer, validates agreed records, and investigates migration discrepancies. Shopify can continue accepting orders during transfer. Your Personal Assistant communicates progress and coordinates the completed-data review.
8. Coordinate Final Updates and Launch
Track new orders and changes after source snapshots. Eligible Recent Data Migration, Smart Update, and Re-migration address agreed records under the project terms. Coordinate the final update before handover; these services do not provide continuous synchronization.
Test old URLs, redirects, internal links, customer access, product selection, discounts, payments, carriers, taxes, notifications, and checkout on desktop and mobile. Prepare required blogs, app replacements, and operational settings before directing traffic to PrestaShop.
Cost and timing depend on data volume, access, mapping complexity, custom requirements, and Demo feedback. Use Estimate Migration Cost for an initial estimate or contact our experts to discuss the project.
Discuss your Shopify catalog, customer records, order history, and PrestaShop requirements with our team. Our experts coordinate source preparation, the Demo, transfer, and validation.

FAQs About Shopify to PrestaShop Migration
Find answers about managed migration, CSV files, variants, customer access, order history, app reviews, coupons, content, languages, and source-store closure.
Our experts assess access and requirements, map supported records, configure applicable options, run the Free Demo and Full Migration, and validate agreed results. Your Personal Assistant coordinates feedback, approvals, remaining updates, and handover. You review the sample and completed records.
No. Products and orders have separate Shopify exports, and PrestaShop’s native importer uses entity-specific fields and mapping. A product CSV does not carry the entire customer, order, coupon, review, and page scope. Our experts assess access and prepare the agreed mappings for the AIO transfer.
Variants, weight, dimensions, tags, thumbnail images, and additional images are listed. Standalone metafields are not assumed equivalent to Attributes, and Vendor is not assumed to become Manufacturer. Category data can transfer, but Shopify collection conditions and automated membership rules are not rebuilt automatically. Review representative variation products and category organization in the Demo.
No. This route lists customer first names, last names, emails, and creation dates. Passwords, profile addresses, and email-marketing status are outside the shared scope. Prepare PrestaShop account access and password setup or recovery communications. Historical order billing/shipping addresses are supported separately.
Yes. Our experts configure Preserve Order IDs and review original references with you. Orders include dates, statuses, items, totals, comments, customer names/emails, and billing/shipping addresses. Tags, tracking fields, transactions, and invoices are not included. Compare orders with historical purchase records rather than current product prices.
The listed review fields can transfer when the required source app records are available: dates, status, ratings, reviewer names/emails, and comments. Our experts assess access and target display requirements. Review titles and product-code/name fields are outside this scope, and the source app’s functionality is not converted into a PrestaShop module.
Coupons include titles, descriptions, codes, coupon dates, customer groups, usage limits, amounts/percentages, status, and start/end dates. Coupon creation dates are not listed. Our experts map supported records; test remaining eligibility and calculations separately, particularly app-managed discount behavior.
CMS pages include titles, creation dates, URLs, body content, and thumbnails. Blogs are not included. Translations cover product, category, and CMS-page names/descriptions, without translated attributes or blog content. Review content and language presentation separately; page templates and Shopify Markets configurations are not recreated.
Keep Shopify, source app access, and important assets available through transfer and validation. Shopify’s product CSV does not contain image files; file-based imports need reachable source images. Coordinate closure and final updates with our team after reviewing completed records, rather than deleting source products or canceling access early.
Our experts configure redirects and approved target cleanup. Back up PrestaShop and identify records that must remain. Test legacy links; unchanged rankings are not guaranteed. Prepare the target theme, modules, payments, carriers, taxes, and checkout separately because Shopify code and app behavior are not converted by data migration.
Yes. Our experts run a Free Demo before Full Migration, and Shopify can continue accepting orders during transfer. Track new and changed records. Eligible Recent Data Migration, Smart Update, and Re-migration address agreed records under project terms, without continuous synchronization. Your Personal Assistant coordinates final updates and handover.
Cost and timing depend on volume, access, mapping complexity, custom requirements, and Demo feedback. All applicable Additional Options are included for free with AIO. Who We Truly Are? Let Our Customer Define!
I am in the process of moving my existing website over to Shopify. As this is my 4th iteration of my website, I knew I didn’t want to do the migration part myself again! Using this service meant that I could concentrate on running my business for a couple of days while the migration was being done for me.
Lotus was phenomenal! She is detailed-oriented and works extremely fast! She helped with the migration from Wix to Shopify in no time. Thank you so much Lotus and everyone at LitExtension!
We migrate with Litextension our shop from shopware to shopify. The team was great to work with. During the process we identified a few issues. But everything was fully resolved in two days. We are satisfied with the work from Litextension.
It was great service from those guys! Verry complex case with very old Woocommerce to new Woocommerce store!
I built our new Shopify site myself but with no developer experience. I really struggled migrating products, customers and order history. It was a bit overwhelming until I found Lit. They helped me set it up and did the contract. Emailed me at every stage and listened to my feedback. I found them on Thursday and by Monday the work was completed.

The team at LitExtension was great to work with, and also showed great patience with my migration needs. We had a large website, with many products and variants and they were able to do everything we needed, even some custom requests. Great people and great company.
Took most of the work off our hands. The team were great and went out of their way to get the migration from J2store to Shopify completed. The time zone differences were slightly difficult but that didn’t stop the work from being completed.
