About Our Client
Our client is a cybersecurity company based in the US, focused on protecting kids and teens in the digital world—especially while gaming. They use AI-powered technology to detect and prevent threats like cyberbullying, online predators, and other harmful behaviors.
Since they primarily focus on running and managing blog content, they decided to move from Wix to WordPress. This new platform offers more flexibility, stronger SEO tools, and a better blogging experience, making it a more suitable choice for their needs.
Our Client’s Requirements
For this project, our client had two key requirements to ensure a smooth and precise transition from Wix to WordPress:
- They wanted to migrate all blog content, including both published articles and drafts, without losing any formatting, images, or metadata.
- To improve the overall quality of the migration, they requested the use of our Additional Options. Since the client utilizes our All-in-One (AIO) package, these are provided at no extra cost.
The Challenges
One of the main challenges in this project was handling Wix’s limited blog post statuses. Wix only supports two statuses: public and private, which didn’t align with the client’s content structure on WordPress. The client wanted to split their posts into three categories after migration: public blogs, member-only blogs, and drafts.
Our Solution
To address the challenge, we provided the client with a detailed blog post mapping plan before the migration began. This ensured that each post from Wix—whether public or private—was correctly categorized as public, member-only, or draft on WordPress.
After finalizing the mapping, we ran our All-in-One Migration Service to handle the transfer smoothly and efficiently. The result was a clean, organized blog structure that met all of the client’s requirements right from the start.
