About Our Client
Our client is a Chilean online retailer specializing in outlet-priced beauty and personal-care products. Their store offers authentic cosmetics, skincare, and fragrances at significantly reduced prices. With a simple, fast-loading site and constant weekly restocks, they’ve become a go-to destination for budget-savvy beauty lovers in Chile.
As the business grew, Jumpseller became limiting. They needed more room to scale as their promotions and product updates increased. They wanted stronger marketing tools and easier storefront customization. Shopify offered the flexibility, app ecosystem and long-term scalability they were looking for.
When planning the move, accuracy and minimal downtime were their top priorities. After reviewing our past projects, they felt confident in our experience. They also appreciated how clear and structured our migration process was. That’s why they decided to work with LitExtension.
Our Client’s Requirements
The client’s requirements were very clear. First, they wanted to migrate only the products that were still in stock, along with any new items added during the setup period.
In addition, the client also needed their categories migrated as Shopify automated collections. This was done through the “Migrate Source Store Categories into Shopify Automated Collections” option, which was included at no extra cost under our All-in-One Migration Service.
The Challenges
The only challenge of this project was filtering the catalog. The client only wanted to move products that were still in stock, along with any new items added during the preparation stage. This required careful sorting to avoid pulling outdated or irrelevant products into the new store.
Our Solution
This project was fully managed through our All-in-One Migration Service, which allowed us to handle every step from planning to QA.
To solve the initial challenges, we first filtered the catalog. Only products with active stock were selected. We also added newly created items to ensure the data stayed up to date. This kept the migration clean and prevented outdated products from appearing on Shopify.
Next, we handled the category structure. Using our “Migrate Source Store Categories into Shopify Automated Collections” option to recreate their catalog logic in Shopify. This allowed the new store to keep the same organization while taking advantage of Shopify’s automated collection rules.
Once everything was mapped, we launched the full migration. All selected products and categories were transferred to Shopify in one streamlined process.
After that, our team performed a full QA check. We reviewed product details, stock levels, collection rules and front-end display to confirm everything was accurate.
With all items verified, the client was ready to start building their new storefront on a clean, organized and up-to-date Shopify foundation.
