WordPress to Magento Migration
Migrate your WordPress store to Magento with LitExtension’s All-in-One Migration Service. Our experts transfer WooCommerce products, product categories, customers, orders, manufacturers, taxes, coupons, and reviews, alongside WordPress pages, blog content, and the supported multilingual data.
Your Personal Assistant coordinates requirements, access, and approvals. Our specialists map your data, configure applicable options, and run a Free Demo so you can inspect sample Magento records before approving Full Migration.
Your WordPress store can continue selling while the transfer runs. Our experts monitor progress, validate the agreed records, and coordinate remaining updates before handover.
How WordPress to Magento Migration Works
Our experts review your WordPress content, WooCommerce store, and Magento setup, map the selected records, and run a Free Demo. After your approval, they monitor Full Migration and validate the agreed data with you.
Our specialists assess WooCommerce products, customers, order history, promotions, reviews, and WordPress content. Your Personal Assistant coordinates access, languages, the Magento blog setup, existing target data, and your migration plan.
Our experts configure mapping and applicable options, then migrate sample records. Review product variations, customer access, historical orders, coupons, reviews, pages, blog content, and translations before approving Full Migration.
Our experts run and monitor Full Migration, compare the agreed records, and investigate discrepancies. Your Personal Assistant coordinates the completed-data review, remaining updates, and handover.
Plan Your WordPress to Magento Migration
For a WordPress store using WooCommerce, the move includes two types of data: WooCommerce store records and WordPress site content. List the products, customers, order history, promotions, reviews, pages, and blog content you need in Magento. Include your required languages and plugin-generated records in the requirements discussion.
LitExtension’s All-in-One Migration Service handles assessment, mapping, setup, the Free Demo, Full Migration, and result validation. Your Personal Assistant coordinates access, feedback, approvals, and handover. You review the results while our specialists perform the transfer.
Compare a Content Export with a Store Migration
| Approach | Suitable task | Work to consider |
|---|---|---|
| WordPress content export | Collecting selected source content in a WordPress export file. | Prepare target mapping and a suitable import workflow; an export does not rebuild the Magento store. |
| Separate product or content import tools | Defined records your team can prepare and validate. | Verify field coverage, relationships, images, and target presentation. |
| LitExtension All-in-One Migration | The WooCommerce records and WordPress content listed below. | Provide requirements and access, review the Demo, and approve completed records. |
This page covers expert-managed migration. You do not need to configure a self-service transfer. WordPress themes, page builders, plugins, and custom code require separate Magento implementation.
1. Agree on Scope and Acceptance Checks
Tell our experts which WooCommerce records and WordPress content you want to move. Identify custom product fields, authentication changes, subscriptions, memberships, and plugin-generated data before the scope is agreed. Standard historical orders do not establish support for recurring billing or saved payment credentials.
Record counts and select representative examples: variable products, downloadable or grouped products, customers with billing addresses, orders with different statuses and totals, coupons, reviews, pages, posts, and translated content. Agree on the checks your team needs before accepting the migration.
2. Prepare Backups, Access, and Magento
Back up the WordPress database and files, including WooCommerce records and uploads. Prepare Magento and coordinate the access requested by our experts. Keep it available through the Demo, Full Migration, and validation.
Review existing Magento data before enabling Clear Target Data. Agree on the selected entities that can be cleaned and identify records that must remain, then save a target backup.
Prepare the Magento theme, replacement extensions, payment methods, shipping, taxes, and notifications separately. For WordPress blog content, agree on a compatible Magento blog extension and its configuration with our specialists before the Demo. Moving content does not install a complete replacement WordPress publishing system.
3. Map WooCommerce Products and Categories
Product data includes names, SKUs, descriptions, status, manufacturer, tax class, prices, inventory settings, metadata, weight, dimensions, tags, attributes, variants, up-sells/cross-sells, and images. Source product creation dates are not included.
Attributes and Variants remain product groups. Review their Magento representation rather than assuming every custom source subfield transfers. Test representative variation selections and cart behavior in the Demo.
Downloadable products include files, maximum downloads, and expiration dates. Grouped products include associated products. Check file access and product associations in Magento. Categories include names, descriptions, sort order, images, meta titles, and meta descriptions.
4. Map Customer Accounts and Historical Orders
Customer data includes names, emails, billing addresses, passwords, usernames, status, creation dates, and display names. Our experts coordinate the Magento password-migration setup and test representative logins. Tell them about custom authentication before the project begins.
Orders include IDs, dates, statuses, items, totals, subtotal, discounts, tax, shipping price, comments, customer names and emails, and billing/shipping addresses. Preserve Order IDs retains your original WooCommerce references. Check the agreed order statuses and customer relationships during the Demo.
Order Items and addresses are grouped fields. The transfer does not add target-only transaction, invoice, or credit-memo records. WooCommerce order tags and separate order numbers are not included in this route.
5. Map Manufacturers, Taxes, Coupons, and Reviews
Manufacturer records include names, slugs, descriptions, and images. Tax data includes tax-class names and tax-rate country/rate values. Review these records and separately test Magento tax calculations for your checkout requirements.
Coupons include descriptions, codes, coupon dates, customer groups, usage limits, discount amounts or percentages, and start/end dates. Coupon creation dates, titles, and status are not included. Test the required promotions in Magento before launch.
Reviews include creation dates, status, ratings, user names and emails, and comments. Review titles and separate product-code/name fields are not included. Inspect sample review display alongside the relevant products.
6. Map WordPress Pages, Blog Content, and Translations
CMS pages include titles, creation dates, URLs, descriptions, categories, and thumbnails. Blog content includes creation dates, URLs, descriptions, categories, and thumbnails. Blog titles, authors, comments, and tags are not included in the listed blog transfer.
Review source pages that use page-builder layouts, shortcodes, or custom fields. Content transfer does not recreate the WordPress code that renders those features. Plan the required Magento presentation separately and review representative pages and posts in the Demo.
Multilingual data includes product names/descriptions/attributes, category names/descriptions, CMS-page and blog names/descriptions, and manufacturer content. Coordinate the source language setup and Magento store views with our experts. Check language assignments and translated records; migration does not create missing translations.
7. Configure Additional Options and Review the Demo
All applicable Additional Options are included for free with AIO. Our experts configure 301 redirects, original order references, HTML cleanup for product/category names, approved target-data cleanup, and images embedded in product, category, and blog descriptions.
Description images are separate from product thumbnails, additional images, and category/manufacturer/content images. The option does not add CMS-page embedded-image coverage. Review the image types included in your project.
Our experts run a Free Demo and share the sample records. Compare the catalog, customer access, orders, promotions, reviews, pages, blog content, and translations with the source. Test important redirects, product selections, downloadable files, and grouped-product associations. Resolve unexpected results before approving Full Migration.
8. Complete Migration and Prepare for Launch
After Demo approval, our experts run and monitor Full Migration. Your WordPress/WooCommerce store can continue accepting orders while the transfer runs. Your Personal Assistant communicates progress and coordinates the completed-data review.
Our team compares counts and representative records and investigates discrepancies. Review the agreed results before handover. Test browsing, customer login, variations, coupons, payments, shipping, taxes, notifications, and checkout on desktop and mobile.
Review product/category metadata, page/blog URLs, redirects, internal links, navigation, and target content presentation before switching the domain. A migration does not guarantee identical URL structures or unchanged search rankings.
Agree on Final Updates, Cost, and Timing
Track new and changed source records during the project. Eligible Recent Data Migration, Smart Update, and Re-migration services address agreed data under the project terms. Coordinate the final update before launch; these operations do not establish continuous synchronization.
Cost depends on data volume, complexity, and agreed custom work. Use Estimate Migration Cost, then discuss requirements with our specialists. Allow time for source access, target preparation, mapping, Demo feedback, Full Migration, validation, and launch testing.

Who We Truly Are? Let Our Customer Define!
I am in the process of moving my existing website over to Shopify. As this is my 4th iteration of my website, I knew I didn’t want to do the migration part myself again! Using this service meant that I could concentrate on running my business for a couple of days while the migration was being done for me.
Lotus was phenomenal! She is detailed-oriented and works extremely fast! She helped with the migration from Wix to Shopify in no time. Thank you so much Lotus and everyone at LitExtension!
We migrate with Litextension our shop from shopware to shopify. The team was great to work with. During the process we identified a few issues. But everything was fully resolved in two days. We are satisfied with the work from Litextension.
It was great service from those guys! Verry complex case with very old Woocommerce to new Woocommerce store!
I built our new Shopify site myself but with no developer experience. I really struggled migrating products, customers and order history. It was a bit overwhelming until I found Lit. They helped me set it up and did the contract. Emailed me at every stage and listened to my feedback. I found them on Thursday and by Monday the work was completed.

The team at LitExtension was great to work with, and also showed great patience with my migration needs. We had a large website, with many products and variants and they were able to do everything we needed, even some custom requests. Great people and great company.
Took most of the work off our hands. The team were great and went out of their way to get the migration from J2store to Shopify completed. The time zone differences were slightly difficult but that didn’t stop the work from being completed.
