Plan Your PrestaShop to osCommerce Migration
Start with the catalog, customers, historical orders, manufacturers, tax records, coupons, reviews, and translated fields your business needs in osCommerce. Keep representative source examples for comparing the Demo and completed results, including sale prices, several product images, customer billing addresses, and orders with different totals.
This page uses LitExtension’s All-in-One Migration Service. Our experts assess the project, prepare mapping, configure applicable options, run the Free Demo and Full Migration, and validate agreed records. Your Personal Assistant coordinates requirements, access, feedback, approvals, final updates, and handover.
Compare AIO with Manual Preparation
| Approach | Suitable task | Preparation |
|---|---|---|
| Manual export and import | Defined entities with suitable source files and a target import workflow. | Prepare fields, map records, maintain relationships, and inspect results. |
| Separate migration modules | The records and platform versions supported by the selected module. | Check version compatibility, entity coverage, duplicates, and remaining work. |
| LitExtension All-in-One Migration | The PrestaShop records listed on this page. | Provide requirements and access, review the Demo, and approve completed results while specialists manage the transfer. |
The osCommerce PrestaLink17 module is a separate product with its own version and scope. It does not establish LitExtension’s workflow or add fields to this service. Our team coordinates the access and preparation needed for your actual source and target installations.
1. Agree on Scope and Source Context
Tell our specialists your PrestaShop version, selected catalog, customer and order history, installed modules, languages, and target osCommerce setup. Identify custom product behavior, loyalty data, and other module-held records before the scope is agreed.
If PrestaShop uses multistore, identify the shops whose records you need. PrestaShop supports shop-specific product/category associations and customer-sharing settings; list those requirements explicitly. Translating selected catalog fields does not recreate the source multistore configuration.
Record entity counts and retain source examples. Agree on the values and relationships you will check, including SKUs, prices, quantities, images, billing details, order references, and tax totals. A record count is useful, but it cannot establish that every value is correct.
2. Prepare Backups, Access, and osCommerce
Back up the PrestaShop database, files, and important assets. Provide the access requested by our experts and keep it available through the Demo, Full Migration, and validation. Identify source modules that affect product selection or store operations.
Prepare osCommerce and record existing products, customers, and orders that must remain. Save a target backup before approving Clear Target Data, then agree on the selected entities to clean. Discuss Demo records and test orders before the full transfer.
Prepare the target theme, apps or contributions, payment methods, shipping, taxes, notifications, and checkout separately. The record transfer does not convert PrestaShop theme or module code into osCommerce functionality.
3. Map Products and Categories
Products include names, SKUs, short/full descriptions, status, manufacturer, tax class, regular/special prices, quantities, stock-management settings, meta titles/descriptions, weight, thumbnail images, and additional images. SKU maps to the target Products Model field; the full description maps to product Description.
Combinations, standalone Attributes, Grouped Products, tags, creation dates, and dimensions beyond weight are outside the listed transfer. osCommerce Options/Option Value is not treated as an automatic conversion of PrestaShop Variants. Describe required selections, price adjustments, and module behavior so the target functionality can be planned separately.
Categories include names, sort order, and images. Category descriptions, metadata, and Parent are not included. Inspect target organization and product assignments in the Demo, then prepare menus and any remaining category content.
4. Map Customers and Historical Orders
Customers include first names, last names, emails, and billing addresses. Passwords, usernames, customer groups, status, creation dates, display names, and newsletter subscriptions are not listed. Prepare osCommerce account access and password setup or recovery communications before launch.
Orders include IDs, dates, statuses, items, subtotal, tax, shipping price, total price, comments, customer names/emails, and billing/shipping addresses. Order Items and addresses remain parent groups without extra detail-field promises. Discount totals, tags, and Payment are not included.
Our experts configure Preserve Order IDs and review original source references with you in the Demo. Compare historical totals, dates, statuses, addresses, comments, and customer relationships before approving Full Migration.
5. Map Manufacturers, Taxes, Coupons, and Reviews
Manufacturers include names and images, without slugs or descriptions. Taxes include tax-class names and country/rate information; Tax Description is not listed. Check migrated tax records and product assignments, then test the target tax configuration at checkout.
Coupons include codes and discount amounts/percentages only. Titles, descriptions, dates, status, customer groups, usage limits, and other eligibility rules are not included. Configure the remaining restrictions and test representative carts separately.
Reviews include creation dates, status, ratings, reviewer names, and comments. Reviewer emails, user IDs, review titles, and separate product-code/name fields are outside this scope. Check target review display and prepare the presentation needed by your osCommerce setup.
Multiple Languages includes product names/descriptions and category names. Translated attributes/options, category descriptions, CMS pages, and blogs are not included. Prepare target languages and compare samples from each selected language during the Demo.
6. Configure Applicable Options
All applicable Additional Options are included for free with AIO. Our experts configure redirects, original order references, HTML cleanup for product/category names, approved target-data cleanup, and product-description images.
Description Images covers reachable images embedded in product descriptions. It does not add category descriptions, CMS pages, or blog bodies. Review embedded images separately from thumbnail and additional-image fields.
Approve cleanup after saving a backup and identifying records that must remain. Test important old PrestaShop URLs against the intended osCommerce destinations. Redirects are separate from transferring original URL keys and do not guarantee unchanged rankings.
7. Review the Demo and Complete Migration
Our experts run a Free Demo and coordinate your review. Compare product text, SKUs, prices, quantities, stock settings, weight, images, metadata, categories, customer billing details, orders, manufacturers, taxes, coupon values, reviews, and translations with PrestaShop.
Provide specific source and target examples for unexpected values, formatting, images, or relationships. Resolve discrepancies with our team before approving Full Migration. Agree on any remaining storefront work separately from the migrated record checks.
Our team performs and monitors Full Migration, compares the agreed data, and investigates migration discrepancies. PrestaShop can continue accepting orders during transfer. Your Personal Assistant communicates progress and coordinates the completed-record review.
8. Coordinate Final Updates and Launch
Track records created or changed during the project. Eligible Recent Data Migration, Smart Update, and Re-migration address agreed records under project terms. Coordinate final updates before handover; these services do not create continuous synchronization.
CMS pages and blogs are outside this route. Keep copies of required policy pages and articles and prepare their content separately. Test old URLs, account access, product selection, discounts, payments, shipping, taxes, notifications, and checkout before directing customers to osCommerce.
Cost and timing depend on data volume, access, mapping complexity, custom requirements, and Demo feedback. Use Estimate Migration Cost for an initial estimate or contact our experts to discuss your project.
Discuss your catalog, customer records, order history, and osCommerce requirements with our experts. Review a Free Demo before approving Full Migration.

Who We Truly Are? Let Our Customer Define!
I am in the process of moving my existing website over to Shopify. As this is my 4th iteration of my website, I knew I didn’t want to do the migration part myself again! Using this service meant that I could concentrate on running my business for a couple of days while the migration was being done for me.
Lotus was phenomenal! She is detailed-oriented and works extremely fast! She helped with the migration from Wix to Shopify in no time. Thank you so much Lotus and everyone at LitExtension!
We migrate with Litextension our shop from shopware to shopify. The team was great to work with. During the process we identified a few issues. But everything was fully resolved in two days. We are satisfied with the work from Litextension.
It was great service from those guys! Verry complex case with very old Woocommerce to new Woocommerce store!
I built our new Shopify site myself but with no developer experience. I really struggled migrating products, customers and order history. It was a bit overwhelming until I found Lit. They helped me set it up and did the contract. Emailed me at every stage and listened to my feedback. I found them on Thursday and by Monday the work was completed.

The team at LitExtension was great to work with, and also showed great patience with my migration needs. We had a large website, with many products and variants and they were able to do everything we needed, even some custom requests. Great people and great company.
Took most of the work off our hands. The team were great and went out of their way to get the migration from J2store to Shopify completed. The time zone differences were slightly difficult but that didn’t stop the work from being completed.
