eBay Migration Service

eBay helps introduce your products to one of the largest buyer audiences in eCommerce, often without the upfront advertising spend a standalone store requires. For merchants who want faster visibility, built-in search traffic, and a shorter path to their first sale, migrating to eBay is a practical way to expand reach while keeping full control of the products, orders, and customer data already built up on the current platform.

Yes, you can migrate from Shopify and 140+ other platforms to eBay with LitExtension. On top of that, your entire migration setup and data mapping will be handled by LitExtension’s migration experts from start to finish, so no manual export or import work falls on your side.

The core entities that typically migrate to eBay are products, categories, customers, and orders. The exact scope depends on the source platform’s data structure and eBay’s own listing requirements, so LitExtension’s team will review your specific store during the technical consultation to confirm what applies.

eBay is built as a marketplace rather than a traditional eCommerce platform, so it does not offer the same kind of built-in import tools that cart-to-cart platforms provide. That’s why when you choose to migrate to eBay with LitExtension, our experts will take care of the technical mapping between the source store’s format and eBay’s listing structure.

eBay operates its own internal search engine (Cassini) rather than relying on the same SEO signals as a standalone website, so we cannot guarantee keeping your rankings post-migration. Therefore, after the switch, we highly recommend that you run through the eBay SEO best practices first to preserve your rankings.

Yes. Migrating to eBay does not require shutting down the current store. LitExtension’s migration process securely transfers your data in the background while the source platform stays fully live and operational, so you can keep your usual business operation without disruption.

Yes, eBay supports product variations, such as size or color, and organizes listings into specific categories. During your eBay migration, LitExtension’s team maps the source store’s product attributes and categories to the closest matching structure on eBay to keep the catalog organized.

For a fully managed, expert-handled eBay migration from start to finish, the LitExtension All-In-One Migration Service starts from $169 and includes technical consultation, data mapping, demo migration, full transfer, results testing, and up to 60 days of post-migration support.

Several factors come into play when determining the final eBay migration pricing, including:

• Your source platform.
• The total volume of data being migrated.
• The complexity of the migration project, such as custom fields, unique product attributes, or specialized business logic, which often requires additional mapping work.
• Any add-on services required, such as consolidating multiple source stores or extra data customization.

Most migrations are completed within a few days, though the exact timeline depends on the store’s size and data complexity. Smaller stores with simple catalogs and minimal customization tend to migrate faster, while larger stores with extensive product variations or custom configurations may take longer to map and validate properly.

LitExtension protects exchanged data with HTTPS and the latest SSL encryption technology throughout the eBay migration. LitExtension does not store customer data on its servers, since data moves directly from the source store to the new eBay account. LitExtension is also GDPR-compliant, and a Non-Disclosure Agreement is signed with the customer before the migration order is made.

Unfortunately, due to eBay’s policy, customers’ reviews cannot be transferred from your source store to eBay’s own feedback system. This marketplace instead builds seller reputation through its own verified feedback score, which starts fresh and grows with completed transactions on the platform.
