CoreCommerce to Shopify Migration
Move from CoreCommerce to Shopify with LitExtension’s All-in-One Migration Service. Our experts assess your products, product categories, customers, orders, and site content, then map the agreed records to Shopify and validate the results.
Your Personal Assistant coordinates requirements, store access, and review stages. Our specialists configure the transfer and applicable options and run a Free Demo so you can inspect sample records before approving Full Migration.
Your CoreCommerce store can continue selling while the data transfer runs. Our experts monitor the migration and coordinate the remaining data work and your review before handover.
How CoreCommerce to Shopify Migration Works
Our experts assess the source records, agree on the Shopify data mapping, and run a Free Demo. After your approval, they monitor Full Migration and validate the records included in the project.
Our specialists review your catalog, customer records, historical orders, content, and existing Shopify data. Your Personal Assistant coordinates the records you need, source access, target preparation, and project scope.
Our experts configure the agreed data mapping and applicable options, then transfer sample records to Shopify. Review product details, customer and order relationships, content, and any app-dependent data before approving Full Migration.
Our experts run and monitor Full Migration, compare the agreed records, and investigate migration discrepancies. Your Personal Assistant coordinates your review, remaining data updates, and final handover.
Plan Your CoreCommerce to Shopify Migration
Begin with the records your business needs in Shopify. List the products and categories, customer profiles, historical orders, and content you want to retain. If coupons, reviews, or translations matter to the new store, include examples during consultation so our specialists can assess them alongside the rest of your data.
LitExtension provides All-in-One Migration for this route. Our experts manage assessment, mapping, setup, the Free Demo, Full Migration, and validation. Your Personal Assistant coordinates access, requirements, feedback, approvals, and handover. You review the sample and completed results while the team performs the transfer.
Compare the Work Involved in Moving Stores
| Approach | Suitable task | Work to consider |
|---|---|---|
| Manual export and import | A defined set of records with a suitable target import workflow. | Prepare files, map fields, preserve relationships, and inspect the result. |
| Separate import tools | Specific record types your team can prepare and validate. | Check field coverage, existing-record handling, and any app requirements. |
| LitExtension All-in-One Migration | An agreed store-data project managed by migration specialists. | Provide requirements and access, review the Demo, and approve the completed records. |
Data migration does not convert CoreCommerce themes, integrations, or custom code into Shopify functionality. Prepare the design, apps, payments, shipping, taxes, and other operational settings separately from the records being transferred.
1. Agree on the Records and Acceptance Checks
Describe the store you have and the Shopify store you are preparing. Share product and variant examples, customer records, orders with several items, and pages or posts with images. Identify records created by integrations or custom code before the scope is agreed.
Our specialists assess the actual source data and map the selected records to their target representation. Agree on which counts, values, and relationships you will review. An acceptance list helps the team distinguish a migration discrepancy from a design or app configuration task.
2. Prepare Backups, Access, and Existing Shopify Data
Back up CoreCommerce data and keep copies of assets and content needed for the project. Prepare Shopify and coordinate the access requested by our specialists. Keep it available through the Demo and validation.
Review existing Shopify records before approving Clear Target Data. Save a target backup and identify records that must remain, including products or content your team has already edited. The cleanup scope follows the migration entities selected for the project.
If reviews or translated content are included in the agreed work, coordinate the target review app and language setup with our team before testing. App-dependent data should be checked in the customer-facing presentation as well as in the target records.
3. Review Product and Category Mapping
Shopify’s product import scope includes names, SKUs, descriptions, status, vendor, prices, stock fields, metadata, dimensions, tags, metafields, variants, and images. Our specialists assess the CoreCommerce representation and agree on the fields to use in the project.
For products with variants, compare examples that reflect the combinations your customers buy. Review how descriptions, sale prices, inventory, images, and any custom fields appear in Shopify. A general product transfer does not recreate every specialized source feature.
Category work needs a separate review of names, descriptions, images, and metadata. Check the intended Shopify organization and navigation. Do not assume that an optional collection transformation is included just because Shopify can organize products into collections.
4. Review Customers and Historical Orders
Discuss the customer names, emails, addresses, and email-marketing fields that your team needs to retain. Review sample profiles during the Demo and prepare Shopify account access separately. This page does not promise customer password transfer.
For historical orders, agree on references, dates, statuses, items, totals, customer details, comments, addresses, tags, and tracking information as part of mapping. Inspect source-to-target examples rather than assuming that every field in an order will have the same representation after the move.
Preserve Order IDs is not enabled for this project configuration. The team reviews order references during assessment and in the Demo; do not plan around an unconfirmed identifier-preservation option.
5. Review Coupons, Reviews, Pages, Blogs, and Languages
If your requirements include coupons, reviews, or site content, provide representative records. Review discount values and limits, review text and ratings, and the text, images, and URLs of pages and posts. Review import into Shopify uses a compatible app.
Discuss multilingual product, category, page, or blog content with the team. Inspect each language’s agreed text in the Demo. Shopify’s target fields do not by themselves recreate the source language setup or custom translation behavior.
Publication dates and content creation dates describe different events. Include their intended handling in the requirements and review the target settings. Themes, menus, integrations, and custom functionality remain separate preparation tasks.
6. Configure the Applicable Additional Options
All applicable Additional Options are included for free with All-in-One Migration. Our experts configure redirects, HTML cleanup for product and category names, approved target-data cleanup, and images embedded in the agreed product, category, and blog descriptions.
Embedded description images are separate from ordinary product images and page thumbnails. Review both in the Demo. Agree on cleanup before records are removed, and save a backup of target data that your team may need later.
Shopify Smart Collections is not activated in this configuration. Collection transformation and identifier preservation require their own source assessment and are not inferred from Shopify’s ability to import records.
7. Review the Free Demo
Our experts run a Free Demo and share the sample results with you. Compare the agreed product fields, images, variants, category organization, and customer profiles. Check representative orders for references, values, addresses, and relationships.
Inspect any coupons, reviews, pages, blog posts, and translated content included in the Demo scope. Open target content as customers will see it to check formatting, links, and images. Record examples of unexpected results and resolve them with the team before approving Full Migration.
8. Complete Migration and Validate the Store
After Demo approval, our specialists perform and monitor Full Migration. Your CoreCommerce store can continue serving customers during the transfer. Your Personal Assistant communicates progress and coordinates the completed-record review.
The team compares the agreed counts and representative values and investigates migration discrepancies. Track records created or changed in CoreCommerce during the project so final updates can be planned before handover. Review the result before accepting the migration.
9. Prepare SEO, Checkout, and Launch
Review the mapped metadata and important source URLs, then test agreed redirects to Shopify destinations. Update internal links and check navigation. A transfer does not guarantee identical URL structures or unchanged search rankings.
Prepare Shopify’s design, apps, payment methods, shipping, taxes, notifications, customer access, and checkout separately. Test browsing, variant selection, cart actions, account access, and checkout on desktop and mobile before directing customers to the new store.
Estimate Cost, Timing, and Follow-Up Work
Cost depends on selected data volume, complexity, and agreed custom work. Use Estimate Migration Cost for an initial estimate, then discuss the requirements with our specialists. Applicable Additional Options are included for free.
The schedule includes access preparation, mapping, the Demo and your feedback, Full Migration, validation, and remaining data updates. Eligible Recent Data Migration, Smart Update, and Re-migration services address agreed records under the project terms. They do not establish continuous synchronization between stores.

Who We Truly Are? Let Our Customer Define!
I am in the process of moving my existing website over to Shopify. As this is my 4th iteration of my website, I knew I didn’t want to do the migration part myself again! Using this service meant that I could concentrate on running my business for a couple of days while the migration was being done for me.
Lotus was phenomenal! She is detailed-oriented and works extremely fast! She helped with the migration from Wix to Shopify in no time. Thank you so much Lotus and everyone at LitExtension!
We migrate with Litextension our shop from shopware to shopify. The team was great to work with. During the process we identified a few issues. But everything was fully resolved in two days. We are satisfied with the work from Litextension.
It was great service from those guys! Verry complex case with very old Woocommerce to new Woocommerce store!
I built our new Shopify site myself but with no developer experience. I really struggled migrating products, customers and order history. It was a bit overwhelming until I found Lit. They helped me set it up and did the contract. Emailed me at every stage and listened to my feedback. I found them on Thursday and by Monday the work was completed.

The team at LitExtension was great to work with, and also showed great patience with my migration needs. We had a large website, with many products and variants and they were able to do everything we needed, even some custom requests. Great people and great company.
Took most of the work off our hands. The team were great and went out of their way to get the migration from J2store to Shopify completed. The time zone differences were slightly difficult but that didn’t stop the work from being completed.
