Exporting your store’s data to CSV files is a common way to back up your data, review it before migration, or transfer information manually. While the exact steps vary depending on your eCommerce platform, here’s the general approach. For a step-by-step tutorial for each platform, please check out our guide on how to export CSV files.
- Log in to your store’s admin panel.
- Navigate to the data you want to export, such as Products, Customers, or Orders, usually found in their respective sections.
- Look for an Export option, often available as a button at the top of the list page, or under a Tools/Import-Export section in your settings.
- Select what to include in the export. Many platforms let you choose specific fields, filter by date range or status, or export all records at once.
- Generate and download the CSV file. Depending on your store’s size, larger exports may take a few minutes to process before the file is ready to download.
