We recommend not deleting your Source Store data right away, even after your migration is fully complete. Here’s why: your Source Store usually stays active and keeps collecting new orders, customers, and product updates after the migration finishes. If you keep your Source Store intact, you can use our Recent Data Migration service to sync this newer data to your Target Store later, rather than manually updating these new entities.
If you do plan to delete your Source Store data down the line, make sure to back it up first, ideally after your Target Store is fully live and running smoothly, just to be safe in case you ever need to reference it again.
