During your migration with LitExtension, you can edit or customize your Target Store in a few specific cases:
- Customizing your template or theme: This doesn’t interfere with the data transfer, so feel free to adjust your store’s design while the migration runs.
- Editing data types you didn’t select for migration: For example, if you’re only migrating products, customers, and orders, you’re free to edit or customize other data, such as blog posts or CMS pages, since these won’t be affected by the transfer.
- Editing data types that are included in your migration: Be sure to back up this data first, since changes made during an active migration could be overwritten or cause inconsistencies once the transfer completes.
If you want to edit the entities that are actively being migrated, we recommend waiting until the migration is fully complete to avoid any data conflicts or mismatches.
