How to Perform PrestaShop to Shopify Migration
Select PrestaShop as “Source Cart” and Shopify as “Target Cart” from dropdown list. Enter store URL and follow brief instructions to migrate from PrestaShop to Shopify.
Choose the entities you want to migrate from Prestashop to Shopify such as products, product categories, customers, orders, and even more.
Let’s start the PrestaShop to Shopify migration. Once the process is kicked off, it will constantly run even when you turn off your browser.
- Backup database of the Prestashop store
- Set up a new Shopify store
- Set up Source and Target Cart
- Select entities to migrate

Step 1: Enter Prestashop and Shopify Store Information
On the Migration Page, click Create New Migration at the top right button on the screen. Select Prestashop as Source Cart Type and provide its URL into the blank bar. Then download LitExtension Connector, extract the zip file and upload connector to Prestashop’s root folder. Right here, the Connector Installation will be automatically checked and informed on the screen without manual checking. Select Shopify as Target Cart Type and provide its URL into the blank bar. Follow the brief instruction to get your API info and fill them in the form.
Step 2: Select Entities To Migrate PrestaShop to Shopify
Choose entities you want to migrate. You can select either all of them together or certain data. For example, only Products, Customers or Orders.

Step 3: Perform Prestashop to Shopify Migration

However you can skip this step by clicking “Skip Demo Migration” button to immediately move forward to Full Migration.
- To Perform Full Migration: Once the migration is started, it will run seamlessly on the server. Therefore, there’s no need to keep your PC on while the data is being transferred. It is completely safe to turn it off! Take a break, have a cup of coffee and you’ll be notified via email when the process is completed.
