Squarespace to Wix Migration

Our client is a U.S.-based company specializing in the development and delivery of high-quality research peptides for health and wellness. As their customer base grew, they realized Squarespace, while great for building websites, lacked the eCommerce flexibility they needed to scale.

Looking for more control, they turned to Wix. While not known for advanced eCommerce, Wix offered just enough: customizable product listings, flexible payments, inventory tracking, and a better shopping experience, all while keeping their design goals intact.

During the planning phase, they explored multiple migration methods, including manual data export and third-party plugins. But none could fully meet their expectations for accuracy, security, and ease, except LitExtension. They chose us because they needed a team they could trust to handle their store data safely and precisely from start to finish.

For this project, the client required us to migrate all product and customer data from Squarespace to Wix. Accuracy was key, they needed all details preserved exactly as they were, with no data loss or disruption to their live store.

The migration went smoothly without a hitch, until the client checked their Wix site and couldn’t find the data. It turned out they had been looking at the wrong site, which led to some initial confusion.

From preparing the data on the Squarespace store to mapping fields, running the migration, and testing results on the new Wix site, everything was managed with care and precision. As soon as the client reported the issue, we immediately asked for access to their Wix account to investigate. After checking, we quickly spotted the problem: they had invited our team to one site but were logged into a different one when checking the results.

We promptly pointed them to the correct site and explained the situation. Once they logged in to the right place, everything was there, migrated accurately and exactly as expected. The confusion was resolved quickly, and the client was reassured.
