About Our Client
Our client is a fast-growing fashion brand based in South Korea, known for blending classic Americana with contemporary streetwear. Their collections speak to a young, creative audience that values bold expression and cultural flair.
As their fanbase expanded beyond Korea, the brand faced a new challenge: their existing online store on Cafe24 was limiting their global reach. The lack of global shipping integration, multi-currency support, and proper tax handling made it difficult to sell overseas smoothly. These limitations started to hold the brand back right at a critical moment of expansion.
To keep up with demand and reach new markets, they began looking for a more flexible, globally-ready platform, and landed on Shopify. Since timing was crucial, and they didn’t want to miss a key growth window, they decided to work with a proven migration expert.
After comparing options, they found LitExtension – a service that offered exactly what they needed: a smooth, secure migration from Cafe24 to Shopify, with full data transfer and no downtime. Our strong reviews and hands-on support gave them the confidence to move forward.
Our Client’s Requirements
To ensure a successful migration, the client requested our All-in-One Migration Service and outlined these three key requirements:
- Transfer customer accounts from Cafe24 to Shopify, including login credentials, purchase history, membership level, etc.
- Move all reward points from their third-party loyalty app and correctly link them to the respective customer profiles.
- Transfer content pages from the bottom of the Editorial page on their Cafe24 site to the Editorial section on Shopify, maintaining layout, structure, and visual quality.
The Challenges
While the client was excited to make the switch to Shopify, the migration came with two major challenges:
- The client needed the entire migration completed in a short time frame to align with their upcoming product launch. There was no room for delays.
- Cafe24 and Shopify use very different page templates and design structures so certain content, especially in the Editorial section, didn’t retain its original structure or styling after migration.
Our Solution
To meet the tight deadline, we started by working closely with the client to clarify every detail of the migration requirements before getting started. By aligning early and maintaining regular updates throughout the process, we were able to avoid delays, minimize back-and-forth, and complete the migration as quickly as possible.
For the layout part, we anticipated that the content structure wouldn’t carry over exactly due to the template limitations. Thus, after migrating all 25 Editorial pages, we advised the client to work with LitOS, a trusted Shopify development service provider. Their team could help redesign the pages or select a new template that would better align with their brand’s original look and feel. This allowed them to retain both their content and their visual identity on Shopify without compromise.
