About Our Client

Our client is a well-known international brand specializing in wall décor and interior design. They offer a wide range of designer wallpapers, wall art, and home accessories, serving customers across multiple regions.

Salesforce supported their multi-site needs, but it was too complex and slow for everyday tasks. Even simple updates required extra steps or technical help. That’s when they found BigCommerce – a platform that stands out for its ease of use, flexibility, and streamlined multi-storefront management.

They chose LitExtension because the project required migrating a large volume of data across multiple regional storefronts. With our experience in complex, multi-channel migrations, we were the right partner to ensure everything was transferred accurately and efficiently, without disrupting operations.

Our Client’s Requirements

For this project, the client had clear and complex migration needs to match their multi-store setup:

  • Migrate 4 sites from one Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) multi-store site to 4 distinct storefronts in BigCommerce, each representing a different market.
  • Transfer customer records and correctly assign each one to the appropriate BigCommerce storefront.
  • Migrate all order data from the past 3 years, with each order accurately linked to its original channel/store.

These requirements were essential to maintain their international structure and ensuring continuity in customer and order history.

The Challenges

This was a highly complex migration involving large volumes of data and multiple storefronts—each tied to a specific country or region. What made it even more challenging was the tight deadline set by the client.

Our Solution

To handle both the complexity and the tight deadline, we carried out the project using our All-in-One Migration Service with a dedicated expert overseeing the entire process.

We separated the migration of each channel into its own thread, allowing us to run all four migrations simultaneously. This not only kept the process organized but also helped us maximize efficiency and stay firmly on schedule.

Throughout the project, we stayed in close contact with the client, resolving issues quickly and making real-time adjustments. Thanks to this approach, we delivered a smooth, accurate migration—right on time.
