About Our Client

Our client is an Australia-based organization dedicated to supporting runners of all levels. They offer expert coaching, podiatry services, and a range of training programs to help individuals achieve their running goals. With over 40 years of experience, they have built a strong and loyal customer base.

Our client decided to migrate from Lightspeed to Neto because Neto is a better fit for their business needs. Neto’s strong local focus, including support for Australian tax rules, payment gateways, and logistics providers, makes it an ideal choice for their operations. Additionally, Neto’s cost-effective pricing and scalable features allow the client to manage their growing business more efficiently without breaking the budget.

Our Client’s Requirements

Although LitExtension’s migration services ensure a smooth transition without disrupting business operations, the client still wanted the migration completed within a tight deadline. This would give them enough time for testing, making adjustments, and ensuring everything was set up correctly before launching their new store.

Additionally, they requested several Additional Options to enhance their migration:

  • Clear Current Data on Neto Before Migration;
  • Migrate Categories and Product SEO URLs;
  • Create 301 Redirects on Target Store;
  • Preserve Order IDs on Target Store.

The Challenges

The biggest challenge for this project was the client’s tight deadline, which left little room for error or delays. Adding to the complexity, the export files from Lightspeed were in different formats, requiring additional time and effort to convert them into a standard format compatible with Neto. This extra step made it even more challenging to complete the migration accurately within the limited timeframe.

Our Solution

To overcome the challenge of the tight deadline, we maintained close communication with the client throughout the process. We kept them informed of every step we made, ensuring they were aware of our progress and any adjustments needed.

To handle the Lightspeed export files, we customized our migration tool to standardize the file formats, making them compatible with Neto. This allowed us to get the migration up and running smoothly.

Once the customization was complete, we ran our All-in-One Migration Service to transfer the client’s data, including products, customers, and orders. After that, we implemented the requested Additional Options to enhance the migration and ensure a smooth transition.
