How to Perform Neto to Shopify Migration
#1: Set up Neto and Shopify stores
Select Neto as “Source Cart” and Shopify as “Target Cart” from the dropdown list. Enter the store URL and follow instructions to set up the migration.
#2: Select Data to Migrate from Neto to Shopify
Choose the entities you want to transfer Neto to shopify such as products, product categories, customers, orders, and more.
#3: Perform Full Neto to Shopify Migration
Let’s start the Neto to Shopify migration. Once the process is kicked off, it will constantly run even when you turn off your browser.
Step-by-Step Guide to Migrating from Neto to Shopify
To start your automated migration from Neto to Shopify using our migration tool:
- Access LitExtension migration app.
- Sign up with your email or connect via Google for instant access.
- If you already have an account, enter your email and password to log in.

Step 1: Set Up Source & Target Carts
First, connect our data migration system to Neto and Shopify. This gives the system access to the data it needs to migrate.
On the Migration Page, select Create New Migration.
1.1. Set Up Source Cart
In the Source Cart Setup section, select Neto as your Source Cart from the drop-down menu and enter your Source Cart URL.
Each cart needs different details, which will appear after you select your Source Cart. You can connect your store in three ways:
- Install Connector for open-source carts.
- Provide API Keys for hosted carts.
- Import CSV Files if your store crashed, you have security concerns, or you use a cloud server.
1.2. Setup Target Cart
In the Target Cart Setup section, select Shopify as your Target Cart from the drop-down menu and enter your Target Cart URL.
Follow the same steps to connect our system to your Shopify store using a Connector, API, or CSV file.
Step 2: Configure Neto to Shopify Migration
After connecting your Source (Neto) and Target Carts (Shopify), select the data you want to migrate.
You can also turn on additional options to improve performance and SEO for your new Shopify store.
Entities Selection
In the Entities To Migrate section, select the entities you want to move.
For a Neto to Shopify migration, you can transfer these entities:
- Products
- Product Categories
- Customers
- Orders
- Coupons
- CMS Pages
- Blog
Or, simply click Select All to transfer everything.

Additional Options
Next, configure the Additional Options. Popular choices include:
- Clear target cart data before migration: Deletes existing data on the Target Store that matches your selected entities. This prevents duplicates.
- Preserve IDs for products, customers, and orders: Keeps your entity IDs the same on your Target Store as they were on your Source Store. This maintains connections and makes management easier.
- Create 301 Redirects from source to target cart: Automatically redirects your old Product and Category URLs to the new ones. This keeps your old links working for a smooth customer experience.
- Strip HTML tags from category and product names: Removes improper or unnecessary HTML tags from your old categories and product names.
- Migrate Source Store Categories into Shopify Automated Collections: Shopify uses collections instead of sub-categories. This option maps all your old categories and sub-categories into Shopify collections.

Step 3: Perform Neto to Shopify Migration
After picking your data and configuring your options, you are ready for the Full Migration.

Otherwise, check Skip Demo Migration and click Start Full Migration.
The migration may take a few minutes or longer, depending on how much data you have. Because we run on a cloud-based system, you do not need to keep your browser open or internet connected. You can check the progress in the Migration progress section anytime.
Before the process begins, you will be asked to complete payment. We support multiple payment methods, including PayPal, Skrill, Western Union, Bank Transfer, and Cryptocurrencies.
Neto to Shopify Post-Migration Checklist
The last step is to check the results of your migration from Neto to Shopify.
When the screen says “Full Migration Is Completed”, review your results immediately to make sure all data transferred correctly.
Check Product Visibility: Most products will show up right away. Out-of-stock products are hidden by default, so use the catalog or search bar to find them.
Review Product Details: Check these data points for accuracy:
- Product descriptions
- Images
- Variants
- Meta descriptions
Understand Shopify Structure: Shopify uses Collections and Tags. Your source store’s categories and subcategories will automatically map to these.
After checking the storefront, log into the Shopify admin panel. Verify that all customer data and order histories are accurate.
