Choose How to Move Each Type of Data

A product CSV is not a complete store migration. Historical orders and content require their own transfer methods, and a website backup is not a Shopify theme. Agree on how each selected entity will be handled before committing to the move.

1. Review Requirements and Source Access

Tell our experts which Weebly site you are moving, how you manage its products and orders, and which Shopify store will receive the data. Identify existing target records, required apps, active sales channels, and content that must remain available during launch.

Share requirements for review display, product selections, category navigation, order history, and important landing pages. Separate the listed data transfer from app behavior, custom fields, forms, and storefront design. Agree on additional work before treating it as part of the project.

Provide the access requested by our specialists and keep it available through validation. Native Weebly and Square dashboards can present different export workflows; let the team review your actual setup rather than assuming every store uses the same menu or file structure.

2. Keep Backups and Prepare Shopify

Keep available exports, important images, content copies, and source URLs. Preserve original files before editing column names or converting formats. Check date ranges and selected records so that an export does not accidentally leave out part of the order history.

Prepare Shopify and inspect its current catalog, customer records, and content. Save a target backup before approving Clear Target Data. Tell our experts which existing records must remain, and agree on the treatment of Demo records before Full Migration.

Keep source access and media available until the agreed transfer and validation are complete. Moving your domain or cancelling the old service too early can interrupt access to content needed for checks and launch preparation.

3. Map Products and Categories

Products include names, SKUs, short descriptions, prices, quantities, stock-management settings, meta titles/descriptions, weight, variants, thumbnail images, and additional images. Check representative products in Shopify, including selections, prices, stock values, and images.

Full descriptions, special prices, product status, vendor, product tags, dimensions, and metafields are not listed for this transfer. Product manufacturer is not treated as Shopify Vendor, and Weebly visibility is not a promise to transfer Shopify publishing status. Review target publication settings before launch.

Category data includes names, images, and meta titles/descriptions. Category descriptions, parent relationships, and status are not transferred as category fields. Our experts configure Shopify Smart Collections using product tags. Review membership and build the navigation your Shopify storefront needs.

4. Review Customer Profiles and Sign-In

Customer migration covers first names, last names, and emails. Passwords, saved profile addresses, newsletter preferences, and standalone phone numbers are not included. Billing and shipping addresses on historical orders belong to those orders; they do not add a customer address-book promise.

Prepare Shopify customer accounts and test access with the email associated with a migrated profile. Customer accounts use one-time email codes. Review the intended account experience and historical-order visibility before directing customers to the new store.

Keep a separate record of any customer information or marketing permissions your business must manage outside this transfer. Do not assume that importing an email address also transfers a subscription preference.

5. Validate Historical Orders

Orders include original IDs, dates, statuses, order items, subtotal, tax, shipping price, total price, customer names/emails, and billing/shipping addresses. Our experts configure Preserve Order IDs and compare source references during the Demo.

Order Items is included as a group without a separate promise for every line-item subfield. Discount amounts, order notes, tags, and tracking fields are not included. Compare historical totals with the source order rather than current product prices.

Review multi-item orders and records from different periods and statuses. Check their associations with customers and the available source information. Agree on handling staff order notifications before historical orders are imported, and restore the intended notification settings afterward.

6. Prepare Reviews, Pages, and Blog Content

Review data includes created dates, reviewer names/emails, and rate values, with import through an app. Written review comments, review titles, and review status are not included. Agree on the target review app and test how the imported data is displayed.

Pages include titles, content, and URLs. Blogs include titles, content, categories, and URLs. Blog excerpts, tags, publication dates, status, and thumbnails are not included. Check content formatting, links, and any embedded media after transfer.

Content migration does not reproduce Weebly page-builder layouts, forms, widgets, or theme code. Prepare Shopify templates and navigation separately. Coupons, Manufacturers, Taxes, and Multiple Languages are not included as separate entities.

7. Configure Additional Options

All six applicable Additional Options are included for free with AIO. Our experts configure name cleanup, 301 redirects, original order IDs, approved target cleanup, description images, and Shopify Smart Collections.

Description Images applies to supported product descriptions and blog content. Category descriptions are not included. Review reachable embedded images separately from thumbnail and additional product images, and do not treat this option as a transfer of every website asset.

Keep important old URLs for redirect mapping. Shopify uses its own route structure and restricts some redirect paths. Test relevant destinations, internal links, and important landing pages before launch. Redirects do not guarantee unchanged rankings.

8. Review the Free Demo and Approve Full Migration

Our experts run the Free Demo and coordinate your review. Check product fields, variants, images, category metadata, customer names/emails, original order references, totals, review values, page content, and blog content against representative source records.

Save examples of unexpected formatting, missing images, incorrect values, or relationships. Resolve migration discrepancies before approving Full Migration. Track separate theme, app, and content-presentation tasks so they are ready for launch.

9. Coordinate Final Updates and Launch

Track new and changed records created while your source store remains active. Eligible Recent Data Migration, Smart Update, and Re-migration address agreed data under project terms. Your Personal Assistant coordinates final updates and handover; these operations are not continuous synchronization.

Prepare domain settings, theme, apps, payments, shipping, taxes, notifications, and checkout. Test product selection, customer access, content navigation, redirects, and test orders on desktop and mobile before announcing the new store.
