The duration of data migration is influenced by various external factors beyond our control. The reasons for a slow transfer can differ depending on the type of shopping cart being used.
Common issues encountered include:
- For open-source carts: there may be a significant volume of data, firewall restrictions (ensure all LitExtension IPs are whitelisted), and hosting environments that either slow down the processing of requests or completely block them.
- For hosted carts: limitations on API requests can also contribute to delays.
Additionally, some unique platforms (both open-source and hosted) restrict access to their databases or APIs, or provide only partial access. In such cases, the only method to extract data is through CSV export, and the time required for migration will depend entirely on the number of transferable entities.
As a general guideline: the fewer items you are migrating, the quicker the process will be. Therefore, if your store has a large inventory, the transfer may take longer. Please keep in mind that we prioritize handling your data with care and do not rush the process to prevent any mixing or duplication.
