Strip HTML Tags is an Additional Option that removes HTML formatting from your category and product names and descriptions during migration. This is useful if your Source Store’s HTML code is improperly formatted, or if you simply don’t want to carry over any HTML styling to your Target Store.
To use this option, simply select “Strip HTML Tags from category, product names and descriptions” under “Additional Options” during Step 2 of your migration setup.
Note: This option can’t be used together with “Migrate images from product and category descriptions,” since description images are typically embedded via HTML. Stripping HTML would remove those image tags along with any other formatting. These two options are mutually exclusive, so choose whichever best fits your store’s needs.
