Not to mention, noindex pages are automatically excluded, which is a thoughtful touch that our team really appreciated.

However, the problem is that you can't directly edit either file. If you want to block specific bots, restrict certain folders, or customize crawl directives, Squarespace won't let you. You're limited to toggling a general “block all crawlers” option, which is far too broad to be practical.
