LitExtension Automated Migration tool facilitates the transfer of data that is supported by both the Source Cart and the Target Cart.
However, many customers utilize third-party extensions to enhance their eCommerce websites and wish to migrate data from these extensions on the Source Cart or to these extensions on the Target Cart. Additionally, some customers may not use extensions but still want to customize the default data according to their preferences.
To address these requirements, we provide an additional service called Migration Customization. When you opt for this service, you will need to select a specific number of Custom Requests, which includes:
- Third-party Modules Migration: Data generated by third-party modules or integrations needs specialized adjustments to work seamlessly on the target platform.
- Data Display On Custom Themes: Data must fit your unique design accurately and be displayed within your custom-designed theme on the new platform.
- Updating default fields for a specific entity type without migrating the entities themselves. This could include updating product titles and descriptions, various product prices, product attributes, or product images.
- Customizing default fields: For instance, this might involve removing HTML code and special characters from product descriptions, converting product attributes into categories, or changing customer tags into groups.
Custom fields refer to data types that are either not supported by the Source Cart or Target Cart or fall outside our supported entities. Examples of custom fields include:
- Product price types that are supported by the Source Cart but not by the Target Cart
- Price types added through an extension
- Attributes added via an extension
- Specifications added through an extension
- Images and videos added by an extension
Default fields refer to data types that are natively supported by both carts based on our supported entities and include custom fields once your migration tool is customized. Examples of default fields include:
- Product titles, descriptions, meta titles, meta descriptions, meta keywords, and tags
- Product price types
- Product attributes
- Product specifications
- Product images and galleries
When purchasing the Automated Migration tool, you can specify the data type you need to migrate.
