This will not overwrite any existing files, just upload the new folder to the folder root.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Step 3<\/strong>:\u00a0Go to Back Office -&gt; Select on tab &#8220;Improve&#8221; -&gt; &#8220;Modules&#8221; -&gt; Module Catalog -&gt; Module Catalog<\/li>\n<li><strong>Step 4<\/strong>:\u00a0Search for the keyword: \u2018LitExtension Customer Password Plugin\u2019, click &#8220;Install&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 data-fontsize=\"14\" data-lineheight=\"21\"><strong><b>\u00a0<\/b><b>PrestaShop Upgrade<\/b><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Also, you can transfer passwords from one PrestaShop to another. It does not require module installation, but you will need to perform some post-migration manipulations. When the migration is finished:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Step to the <b>root folder<\/b> of your <b>Source cart<\/b><\/li>\n<li>Enter \u201c<b>config<\/b>\u201d folder<\/li>\n<li>Open \u201c<b>settings.inc.php<\/b>\u201d file as a text document<\/li>\n<li>Copy COOKIE_KEY code<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5373\" src=\"https:\/\/litextension.com\/faq\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Root-folder-PrestaShop-password-migration.jpg\" alt=\"Root folder - PrestaShop password migration\" width=\"581\" height=\"307\" srcset=\"https:\/\/litextension.com\/faq\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Root-folder-PrestaShop-password-migration.jpg 581w, https:\/\/litextension.com\/faq\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Root-folder-PrestaShop-password-migration-300x159.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 581px) 100vw, 581px\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After copying COOKIE_KEY code, enter the same directory but on your <b>Target cart<\/b> (\/root folder\/config\/settings.inc.php) and replace the COOKIE_KEY you see with the one you\u2019ve copied from <b>Source cart<\/b>. On this point, the migration of customer passwords is completely finished.
