Shopify APIs use several different\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/shopify.dev\/concepts\/about-apis\/rate-limits#rate-limiting-methods\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rate-limiting methods<\/a>. They\u2019re described in more detail\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/shopify.dev\/concepts\/about-apis\/rate-limits#rate-limiting-methods\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Working with Shopify means you are using <strong>API<\/strong> <strong>procedure<\/strong> (<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Application Programming Interface)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Normally this protocol will make your migration a bit longer than others, like open-source platform target for example, not only Shopify but also all platforms with <strong>API<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Besides, the reason as below can\u00a0slow down the process of Shopify migration more:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your migration can suffer from delivering too many pictures.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>On <strong>March 14, 2019<\/strong>, Shopify limit the number of Products\/Variants created using the API app. The limit is currently set to 1000 variants per 24 hour period once a shop has created 50,000 first Product Variants. You can find Shopify documentation about it <a href=\"https:\/\/shopify.dev\/concepts\/about-apis\/rate-limits#resource-based-rate-limits\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>. You can contact the Shopify Support and ask them to increase your store limit \u2013 explain the reasons behind your request.<\/li>\n<li>Shopify has implemented <a href=\"https:\/\/help.shopify.com\/en\/api\/reference\/orders\/order#create-2020-01\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">limits for orders\u2019 migration<\/a>. If you are currently using <strong>a trial or Partner development version<\/strong> of Shopify, it is possible to create only <strong>5 orders per minute<\/strong>.
